Update 1.1.0 Patch Note (Updated on Apr. 16)

Update 1.1.1 Patch (April 16):

  • Some of the known bugs from the 1.1.0 version have been fixed. Thank you all for sharing the bug reports with us!
  • The schedule of the update's distribution may vary between two platforms (Android and iOS).
    • Fixed an issue where unintended actions can be made in the tutorial
    • Fixed an issue where players sometimes receive abnormal quest information
    • Fixed an issue where some texts stretch out of the screen in the stage result screen
    • Fixed an issue where collected artifacts are incorrectly displayed in the pause menu
    • Fixed an issue where repetitive reward's counter in the Season Event is incorrectly displayed
    • Fixed an issue where the UI of Wolf tiles are incorrectly displayed under certain conditions


[Stage System Overhaul]

  • The Stage system of Merge Tactics is being redesigned.
  • Key Changes:
    • New chapters will unlock only if all stages in the chapter are cleared
    • Adding the 3-Star (★★★) system, where you receive additional rewards based on how many stars you collect
    • Adding interesting narratives that walk you through the world of Merge Tactics

  • Adding new and refreshing gameplay gimmicks
    • Environment, bosses, special tiles, etc.

  • Note:
    • As the stage system is being redesigned, the previous progression towards Stage will be reset with the update
    • All of the rewards previously claimed will be retained, and every stage reward newly added with the 1.1.0 Update will be claimable

[Gameplay]

  • Various balance changes due to the stage overhaul
    • Commander
      • Decreased overall commander possession effects
      • Increased the required amount of Honors for certain levels
    • Building
      • Castle now requires certain stage progression for level ups
      • Reduced the construction time of all building except Castle
    • Challenge
      • Increased the maximum level Challenge stages and adjusted their difficulty and reward
      • Other minor balance changes

[Season Event - Springfest]

  • The spring has come to Merge Tactics! To celebrate Springfest, the overall theme is decorated like a lovely spring.
  • Springfest event pass is available during the event period, and the Premium Pass will contain a season-exclusive commander.
    • Event & Reward Claim Period (UTC):
      • Start: April 15, 2021
      • End: May 13, 2021
    • Event Pass:
      • Event Pass consists of 'Free Pass' and 'Premium Pass', and each track consists of various items and event loot chests you can claim.
      • Clear event missions, collect Coinages, and progress your event pass level!
    • Premium Pass:
      • In Premium Pass, you can unlock a season-exclusive commander 'Maia' and its exclusive equipment.
      • Premium Pass benefits:
      • Premium Pass Event missions unlocked
      • Event mission reward Coins +1
      • Immediately progress your Pass levels
      • Trader's Refresh ads removed for the event period
    • Note:
      • You can activate Premium Pass and claim premium rewards any time during the event period.
      • To begin & participate in the event, you must be in the network connection and level 3 or higher.

[New Commander]

  • Added one new commander
  • Maia
    • Unlocked from the Premium Pass reward
    • Active skill: Adds Confuse effect on all enemy blocks
    • Passive skill: Creates a Flower tile when the wave begins
      • ※ Flower tile: Adds Confuse effect on enemy blocks that step on it

[New Equipment]

  • Added a 5-star exclusive equipment of Maia
  • Exclusive equipment of Maia can be only acquired from the Premium Pass reward

[UI/UX Improvement]

  • Improved tutorials
  • Added and improved various effects

[Others]

  • Added Japanese language support
  • Fixed an issue that Shepherd transforms into Knight instead of Wolf
  • Known bug fixes
